I added tonic water to popular cocktails and tasted the results. Long Island Iced Tonic, Aperol & Tonic, Rum & Tonic, Old Fashioned with Tonic and Manhattan + Tonic. Even I was amazed by the result.
Long Island Iced Tonic
- ¾ oz. / 22 ml Vodka
- ¾ oz. / 22 ml White Rum
- ¾ oz. / 22 ml Tequila Blanco
- ¾ oz. / 22 ml Gin
- ¾ oz. / 22 ml Lemon juice
- ½ oz. / 15 ml Simple syrup
- Top up with Tonic water
- Garnish with a Lemon wheel
- Shake, Highball glass with ice
Ameritonic
- 1 oz. / 30 ml Sweet Vermouth
- 1 oz. / 30 ml Campari or other Italian Red Bitter liqueur
- 1 oz. / 30 ml Tonic water
- Garnish with Orange peel
- Old fashioned glass with ice
Rum & Tonic
- 2 oz. / 60 ml Spiced Rum
- 4 oz. / 120 ml Tonic water
- Garnish with a Lime wedge
- Highball glass with ice
Apertonic
- 2 oz. / 60 ml Aperol or other Aperitivo
- 2 oz. / 60 ml Tonic water
- Garnish with an Orange slice
- Wine glass with ice
Old Fashioned Tonic
- 2 oz. / 60 ml Bourbon whiskey
- 1 teaspoon Granulated Sugar (or ⅓ oz. / 10 ml Simple syrup)
- 3 dashes Angostura bitters
- Top up with Tonic water
- Garnish with Orange peel
- Old fashioned glass with ice
Manhattonic
- 2 oz. / 60 ml Bourbon or Rye or Irish whiskey
- 1 oz. / 30 ml Sweet Vermouth
- Top up with 3 oz. / 90 ml of Tonic
- Garnish with Orange peel
- Highball glass with ice
