Today I'm making a homemade BANANA LIQUEUR, comparing it with store-bought liqueur and making an awesome cocktail Psycho Killer with it.

Ingredients

Banana rum

  • 200 grams Dried Bananas (or 2-3 ripe bananas, or
  • 400 ml (up to 1 liter) White Rum

Banana syrup

  • 2-3 very ripe Bananas
  • 100-120 grams Sugar
  • 5-10 grams Vanilla sugar (or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract)
  • A pinch of Salt
  • 120-150 ml Water

Recipe

Psycho Killer

  • 2 oz. / 60 ml Irish Whiskey
  • ¾ oz. / 22 ml Campari infused with Cacao
  • ½ oz. / 15 ml White Creme de cacao
  • ½ oz. / 15 ml Banana liqueur
  • 2 dashes Absinthe

Cacao Campari

  • 2-6 oz. / 60-180 ml Campari
  • 2 teaspoons Cacao powder
  • Paper coffee filter
