5 delicious cocktails for Halloween created by my bartender friends. No dry ice, edible skulls and other special effects (mostly). If you want all of that, check out my last year's Halloween video, and today we're all about the aroma, flavor and presentation.

Ingredients

Sloe Pie

  • 1 oz. / 30 ml Sloe Gin
  • 1 oz. / 30 ml Old Tom (or London Dry) Gin
  • ½ oz. / 15 ml Vanilla syrup
  • ⅔ oz. / 20 ml Single cream (20%)
  • Garnish with Nothing
  • Shake, Cocktail glass

The Soul of my Ex

  • 2 oz. / 60 ml Vodka
  • 1 oz. / 30 ml Coffee liqueur
  • ½ oz. / 15 ml Creme de cassis
  • ⅓ oz. / 10 ml Lemon or Lime juice
  • 1-2 tablets of Activated charcoal (or 1 teaspoon of powder)
  • Edible silver or golden glitter
  • Garnish with 3-4 Blueberries
  • Shake, Cocktail glass

Smashing Pumpkins

  • 1⅔ oz. / 50 ml Calvados or Applejack
  • ½ oz. / 15 ml Tequila infused with chili pepper
  • 1 oz. / 30 ml Pumpkin juice or Puree
  • 5/6 oz. / 25 ml Lemon juice
  • ½ oz. / 15 ml Grenadine syrup
  • Garnish with Grapefruit peel
  • Shake, Cocktail glass

President's Prune

  • 1½ oz. / 45 ml Rum infused with prunes
  • ¾ oz. / 22 ml Dry Vermouth
  • 1 teaspoon / 5 ml Tobacco syrup
  • 1 teaspoon / 5 ml Blue Curacao liqueur
  • Garnish with a Prune on a stick
  • Stir, Nick & Nora glass

Nouveau Sangaree

  • 2 oz. / 60 ml Red wine
  • 1½ oz. / 45 ml Calvados / Apple brandy
  • ½ oz. / 15 ml Sloe Gin
  • ¼ oz. / 7 ml Maple syrup
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Garnish with Apple slices and Grated cinnamon
  • Stir, Cocktail glass
